vivo V40 SE Review: A Mid-Range Phone With Flagship-Level Performance

vivo launched its latest mid-range smartphone, the V40 SE, in April 2024. On paper, the V40 SE looks like a very capable device for its price point. It’s equipped with flagship-level specs like the Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 processor and a large 6.67-inch AMOLED display.

Design and Build

The V40 SE has a uniform glass back design that gives it a premium look and feel. It’s lightweight at around 185-191g depending on the variant. The phone is IP54-rated for dust and splash resistance as well. The front is dominated by the large borderless display with thin bezels. There’s an in-display fingerprint sensor for quick unlocking.

Display and Performance

The 6.67-inch AMOLED display is one of the highlights of the V40 SE. It has FHD+ resolution, a high 120Hz refresh rate, and gets very bright at up to 1200 nits.
