Vivo X100 Review: Powerful Processing and Camera Prowess

Vivo has introduced its latest flagship smartphone, the X100, packing impressive specs and camera capabilities. Let’s take a closer look at what this device has to offer.

Design and Display

The X100 sports a sleek glass design with thin bezels for an immersive viewing experience. It has a large 6.78-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 1260×2800 and a high 120Hz refresh rate. The display produces vivid colors and gets very bright, topping out at 3000 nits. Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protects it.

In my tests, apps opened instantly and gameplay was extremely smooth. Benchmark scores were among the highest as well. The large 5000mAh battery also provided plenty of juice for daily usage with its 120W fast charging capabilities topping it up in no time.

Camera

One key selling point of the X100 is certainly its triple rear camera setup which looks promising on paper. It consists of a 64MP periscope telephoto lens, 50MP ultra-wide, and a main 50MP shooter with OIS. The front-facing camera is a capable 32MP sensor.

Photos taken in good lighting conditions exhibited great dynamic range and colors that were accurate. Detail capture was also very good. Low-light performance held up well thanks to software algorithms tackling noise. The 4K video recording was smooth with active stabilization. Selfies also packed plenty of detail.

Software and Features

The X100 runs Vivo’s Funtouch OS 14 based on Android 14. The interface provides a clean look and many customization options. It also has features like a Sidebar for quick access as well as a Theme Store for changing appearances.

Other notable features include an infrared blaster, stereo speakers, an under-display fingerprint sensor, and Face Unlock. NFC for payments and dual SIM support are also included.

Conclusion

Priced competitively, the Vivo X100 stands out as a compelling option in the flagship segment.
