vivo iQOO Neo9s Pro Review: A Powerful Gaming Phone

Vivo has released its new flagship gaming smartphone – the iQOO Neo9s Pro. As the successor to last year’s popular iQOO Neo9s, the Neo9s Pro comes with some significant upgrades that aim to enhance the gaming experience.

Design and Display

The iQOO Neo9s Pro sports a slim 8mm body made of aluminum alloy with rounded corners. It feels very premium in the hand. The 6.78-inch AMOLED display has a resolution of 1260×2800 and a high refresh rate of 144Hz. It covers 100% of the DCI-P3 color gamut and gets extremely bright at up to 1400 nits. The punch-hole cut-out for the front camera is centered at the top.

Hardware and Performance

Powering the Neo9s Pro is the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor coupled with up to 16GB of LPDDR5 RAM. This combination provides immense processing power for intensive mobile games. The phone comes with 256GB, 512GB, or 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage. In my tests, the interface was buttery smooth and there was no lag even while multi-tasking.

Cameras

It has a 50MP primary sensor along with a 50MP ultra-wide camera on the rear. Selfies are handled by a 16MP front camera. Photos came out with great detail and excellent dynamic range even in low light conditions. Video recording maxes out at 8K which is higher than most rivals.

Battery Life

The 5160mAh battery inside supports incredible 120W fast charging. Vivo claims it can charge from 1-50% in just 15 minutes which lived up to the claims. With moderate usage, the phone easily lasted over a day on a single charge.

Early Verdict

Priced around $700, the iQOO Neo9s Pro is shaping up to be one of the most powerful gaming phones available today. With its blazing-fast performance, amazing display, and large battery that charges in no time, it will appeal to mobile gamers looking for an ultra-smooth experience. Look out for my full review soon.
