vivo Y200e Review: A Budget Phone with Strong Battery Life

The vivo Y200e is a budget smartphone launched in early 2024 with a focus on providing reliable everyday performance and long battery life at an affordable price.

Design & Display

The vivo Y200e has a plastic back with a 6.67-inch AMOLED display at the front. The screen has FHD+ resolution and a high 120Hz refresh rate, giving content a very smooth look. It’s a big display for the price that also gets very bright at up to 1800 nits.

Performance & Specs

Powering the Vivo Y200e is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 chipset, which provides decent everyday speeds while being efficient on battery. It comes with 6GB/8GB of RAM depending on the model. Storage is 128GB with the option to expand via a microSD card.

Cameras

On the rear is a dual camera setup consisting of a 50MP main camera and a 2MP depth sensor. The front camera is 16MP. Camera quality is average for a budget phone but works well enough in good lighting. Video recording tops out at 1080p30.

Battery & Charging

The highlight feature is the 5000mAh battery, which Vivo claims can last up to 2 days of regular use on a single charge. It also supports fairly rapid 44W wired charging that can juice up the phone from 1-32% in just 15 minutes as advertised.

Early Verdict

Priced starting from Rs. 19,999, the vivo Y200e is excellent value if your priority is long battery life above all else. The big AMOLED screen is also a bonus at this price point. While performance and cameras are modest, they should handle daily tasks just fine. The combination of a strong battery and low price make this a great budget pick.
